At Engelsholm Folk High School we welcome international students

We think that mixing Danish and international students make the school environment flourish, and we enjoy the international perspective this brings to our discussions about art, music, philosophy, politics and so on.

However, teaching is in Danish, and this means that your English language skills should be at a reasonable high level. You also need to be proactive to get the most out of our classes and learn the general and important things about the school.

While teaching is in Danish, we translate general messages at assemblies into English, and teachers and students are always very helpful towards international students.

As a part of the curriculum, all international students attend mandatory classes in Danish language and culture.

To us, arts and crafts provides an inspirational common ground to meet as individuals and as a collective. As a student at Engelsholm you are not only to take part in daily classes, but also in the community shared with the staff and your fellow students.

We eat all daily meals together at the castle, take part in cleaning duties, play games, host parties and join each other in discussions about art, politics and life.

At Engelsholm you will find yourself situated in the middle of the beautiful Danish nature, enabling you to seek it out for peace and quiet in your free time or as inspiration for your main subject.
